Older, carbureted cars and trucks are prime candidates for DIY (Do It Yourself) automobile propane conversions because they are the biggest environmental polluters. Newer vehicles employing EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) can be converted too, but the cost of the conversion is greater. Converting an internal combustion engine from running on gasoline to running on propane gas is a relatively simple project for any shade tree mechanic with moderate skills. However, before we get into the details of this project, I want to spend a moment or two discussing why it is a good idea to undertake such a conversion. LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) AKA Propane, contains no lead, sulfur, carbon, or gum, so it produces no byproducts that pollute the air we breathe and causes no damage to the engine. Although mileage and performance remains about the same, the cost of LPG is about 15 percent less than that of regular unleaded gasoline. At first glance, that 15 percent may not appear a significant savings, but with the price of a gallon of gas today that 15 percent will soon pay for the cost of the conversion.

There are actually two approaches to doing automobile propane conversions. The first approach involves designing and installing the system from scratch. When people first started converting their vehicles to run on propane that was the only approach available to them and many DIYers still take that approach but it is an approach prone to mistakes. The second approach is the sure approach. This approach begins with the purchase of a conversion kit designed specifically for your vehicle. The cost of these kits make the conversion more expensive but the optimum performances derived from them make the extra expense worthwhile.

Kits for automobile propane conversions contain all the necessary components to complete the conversion successfully. They come with a DOT (Department of Transportation) approved fuel tank, all the necessary hoses and fittings, filters, shut off solenoid, converter, throttle plate adapters, etc. A conversion kit designed for your specific vehicle and engine will last 15 to 30 years and most reputable suppliers of these kits offer a warranty that reflects this fact. Besides containing all the needed components, each kit comes with detailed instructions on how to do the conversion and how to retune your engine for optimum performance.

As with all good things, there is a negative aspect to automobile propane conversions. Refueling is a bit more complicated then pulling up to the self-service pump at a convenient service station. Maybe someday there will be self-service propane stations but today you have to go to a propane supplier and have them refill your tank. It also less convenient because most LPG refill stations are not open 24-hours a day so one has to plan their refueling stops better. Nevertheless, the positive aspects of the conversions outweigh the negative.

It seems that the rise in gas prices are turning lots of individuals to the world of electric cars. If you are considering purchasing an electric car then you should take the time to read through this article. Within this article we are going to tell you some basic information on electric cars. This means the next time you see an electric car for sale you can count on knowing your stuff about the electric car.

First off an electric car is a vehicle that is using one or maybe more electric motors for propulsion. Electric cars are also called electric drive vehicle. Electric cars don’t feed off of gas but instead they feed off of electricity. The electric car will run off of something such as batteries, a generator or even fuel cells. If we have already caught your attention by saying you will no longer have to pay for gas to put in your car then please continue reading.

If you are looking for an electric car then you should know you can find them almost anywhere inside the United States, United Kingdom and lots of other places around the world. When looking for your electric car you will want to do a bit of research on it before you purchase it. You should also make sure you do not get ripped off and pay too much for your electric car. Before you go looking for electric cars for sale you should make sure you familiarize yourself with the price of electric cars. In some places you will find car dealers charging way too much for an electric car and individuals do not even realize it and fall for this trick. Do you know why individuals fall for this overpriced electric car trick? This is because they have not taken the time to familiarize themselves with the prices of electric cars.

The invention for electric cars has been underway for a long time now and they have finally had a breakthrough. We believe if you choose to purchase an electric car you will be saving on having to pay for gas. Yes, electric cars may be a bit more costly than those regular cars but it is well worth it. We say this because with gas prices today if you stick with the average car you will end up spending more on gas than you would on a car. Today it seems as if electric cars are starting to show the fuel powered cars out of the way. We don’t think you will be seeing an electric powered car in the Nascar races anytime soon but you can count on an electric car passing you on the road.

Hybrid cars are good for the environment, they save drivers money on ever increasing gasoline, and they are, in many cases, more efficient than full gas powered cars. Sometimes though, these cars just cost too much for the average tree hugger. To help them out, (and more likely themselves) people began placing hybrid electric cars on eBay.

EBay is a great source for cars. You are safe when you buy cars from EBay. You can buy a Porsche 911 2008 Porsche 997 Twin Turbo Cabriolet Wicked-7 GTR-700 for 66k. That may not be a cheap price, but for this amazing car, you will be willing to give up the cash. Also, you can find yourself a brand new Lexus GS GS450H. If you are a Lexus car person you know that this model is hard to find with low miles and other extra accessories. For 57k it is a really good deal. Since its eBay, I’m sure you can lower that price a bit.

Now, here are the really great deals for those who can’t afford the really expensive cars. The Lexus and Porsche were the best of the best. Now take a look at the cars that are just great buys. Since eBay allows you to bid on cars, you can get a car priced at $13,000 for half or less than that. For example, there is a Toyota Prius hybrid with low miles in excellent condition for $17,000 with a bid for only $1,000. Then again, that car still has a week left.

A real deal would be one that has a low bid and no time left. If you are an eBay buyer, you know that people will fight at the last second for things they want so even if there is a day left on an auction and the price is still low, chances are it would increase to much higher levels. What you have to do is research what a car would cost new and used. Then you have to see the “buy now” prices on all the cars. Finally, check the price of the latest bid+ the number of bids. The more bids a car has the more chance it will have a ton of bids at the end. The perfect car would have half the cost, less than 24 hours left, and less than 5 bids. One such car is a Ford Escape Hybrid 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid 2WD. As you can see, there is only one such car like that at the moment. They are not often found but they do exist. Check every day for such cars.

As I am writing this article, my hopes are that it would change the way some of the readers approach the used car market. My intention is to briefly discuss the notions of cheap used cars, for sale online, bluebook. Each issue is to be discussed individually, then I will summarize by the way you can put the three issues, or terms to work for your benefit.

As I always stress, buying a used car is only done every couple of years or so. Therefore, with minimal time, and effort you can accomplish results, which will ultimately save you money. Based on your research, you would be prepared to take a better final decision. If you are on a tight budget, it doesn’t hurt to buy a car that is cheap, that’s what some people like to call it. However, this should not be misinterpreted, because you should differentiate between bad and cheap. You must realize that not every cheap car would cost a fortune to maintain aka bad, and that not every bad car is a cheap car. That is why I don’t suggest that you enter the market looking for a cheap car; rather you should have the intention of buying an affordable car, one that would fit your budget.

Now that I covered the term cheap used cars for sale, online, blue book are next. If someone is willing to spend money to sell their car, then the odds are that they took good care of their car over the ownership period. On the other side, if an individual is not willing to pay the small listing fee to advertise their car, then, I would leave the perception of the way they maintained their car on you. But please, don’t justify the fact, with the power f the internet and auto trader, sellers can now list their cars till sold, costing not much more than an oil change.

Blue book experts has been around for over 75 years, this allowed them to master the process of appraising car values, and for this exact reason a number of banks in the united states use it to determine the value of car loans. I will dedicate an entire section on my website to guide you through using the different value indicators, and prove to you the importance of such books, and guides.

To conclude, the title Cheap used cars for sale online blue book is a misleading or maybe confusing article title. On the other hand, when you are on a tight budget the process should be a converse of the title Cheap used cars for sale online blue book.

In order to avoid stolen repo cars for sale in auto auctions, one needs to know how the auction works and the pitfalls to look out for. Auto auctions offer the opportunity to buy repossessed vehicles at prices much lower than their market value. Auctioneers try their best to sell off these automobiles due to the costs involved in storing and maintaining them. However, some of these auctions may include stolen repo cars for sale and the auctioneers may or may not know it.

The thing about some of these auctions is that they take in vehicles from anyone. These are usually the smaller, less renowned auctioneers that sometimes obtain goods to sell from the public with no questions asked. Even someone in the trade may or may not be able to ascertain whether a particular car is a stolen good, let alone individuals like you and me who are just looking for a decent car to drive at lower cost. Therefore, it is in the buyers’ interest to go for more reputable auctioneers to avoid stolen repo cars for sale.

Auto auction houses usually do not own the cars. They are merely acting as middleman helping to clear the stock. In this case, they are not liable to refund the buyers should the cars get repossessed after it was auctioned off because it was previously stolen or have outstanding finance owing on it, the more the reason to go for auctions held by reputed companies.

Another thing one can do is to ask about the origin of the vehicles to make sure they are not stolen repo cars for sale. You can also make use of the VIN of the automobile to get a VIN report. Some auctions offer the report for free or you can use CarFax to obtain the vehicle history report through VIN. Typically, go for cars that come from government agencies, corporate companies, banks and leasing companies. These are safe sources of quality buys.

You need to be cautious of the advertisement on the community bulletin board that reads, “cars for sale by owners”. It would be wise to read the whole ad so that you can determine if it is indeed legitimate. People who are offering used cars for sale by dealers and those listings that purport to being cars for sale by owners often turn out to be unreliable.

About eight months ago, I was shopping for a used car. I came upon a most useful and effective category, “cars for sale by owners,” on Craiglist, the most wonderful of no-charge community bulletin boards online. However, all I found were appealing deals I couldn’t afford, affordable deals that included cars with no engines, and no pink slips. There were also no responses after I went out of my way to visit the owners, test-drive and check the vehicle, and call back as requested with an offer.

I also found advertisements that were clearly for automobiles and trucks offered by a dealer and confirmed by the dealer’s business information. However, I was suspicious because an ad for a 1970’s Chevy Truck had contact information that includes four phone numbers, and a distinctively misspelled detail. To make it worst, I found separate ads for a Ford F-250, a Chevy Nova, and a listing for two commuter cars that had the same contact information, those same four phone numbers, and that same distinctively misspelled detail, after I did a search of over 1,000 cars for sale by owners.

I’m sure that the guy behind those ads was fraudulent. The cars and trucks existed, and they were presented with photographs. However, the background in every one of the photos was the same and the contact info and details were also the same. This means that the supposed cars for sale by owners were really listed in the wrong place intentionally, by a guy who wanted the benefits of a used car salesman but did not want to pay taxes.

This person was obviously not very smart because he used the same identifiable info and just smashed it all into cars for sale by owners. He wasted serious buyers’ time and energy because of his acts. He also gave the already dubious characters of the used car business a more negative identity.

When buying anything of substantial value it is always best to consider all possible angles before sealing the deal. This is especially true when buying used cars. Used cars being sold by their owners are subject to more queries since albeit cheaper, used cars are not certified and do not come with the same guarantees as those sold by car dealerships.

What to Consider When Buying Used Cars for Sale by Owners?

When buying used cars being sold by an owner, it is very important to remember that you are buying the car exactly as you see it, meaning whatever problems the car has, upon buying it, become your problems. Rarely does one sell his/her car unless there is something wrong with it and they are buying a new one. Will you be even getting an honest answer when you ask the owner if the car needs extensive repairs or if the car has been giving the owner frequent problems entailing a huge amount of money in repairing and maintaining the vehicle. Still, there may still be a chance of acquiring a car which has been well maintained from owners who are simply looking for a newer vehicle.

Owners who sell their used cars name their prices based on car dealerships’ prices on comparable vehicles although sometimes, they may even ask for a higher price compared to counterparts being sold in car dealerships. Owners may demand for a higher price since they assure the customer that they really took proper care of the vehicle. However, you have to remember that very little chance of getting another car from the private owner exists, thus, they really do not put much emphasis on customer satisfaction the same way car dealerships do.

Owners who sell their cars eventually realize that selling their car ‘as is’ may be harder than they have first perceived it to be. Hence, they end up adding more features or making the car even more appealing to choosy buyers. Improving the car would further result to added costs passed on to consumers.

Considering all these factors, it might be even more expensive to buy used cars from owners rather than getting them from respectable car dealers. The cost alone of refurbishing the vehicle may prove costly for the buyer.

Learning as much as you can about what you are buying gives you the best start possible and ensures that you get what you want without making costly mistakes. When looking for Audi used cars for sale then go online and gather as much information about the make and model you are considering purchasing. Along with ensuring you know what to look for on the car such as any faults, you also need information regarding such as how you would finance the purchase. You also need to compare how much it would cost to insure your car; this of course is to make sure that it would be affordable. The insurance part is easy to deal with, go online with a specialist motoring website and simply type in the make and model of the car you have in mind. The premium for the insurance is based on many factors. Some of the most important is how old you are, the size of the engine and model of the car, the cost and age of the car. A newer model would cost more to insure than an older one and the younger you are the more expensive the insurance. An Audi with a bigger engine is also more expensive to put on the road than one with a smaller engine. Once you have found out that the car would be affordable then you can go ahead and work out how you would finance the car. Having a good credit rating gives you more options for financing. If you are in favor with the lender then you will be able to get the lowest rates of interest. Depending on how much the used car is going to cost will also reflect on the type of loan you would be better off applying for. If you only need a small loan you could consider looking around for a deal that comes with 0% interest for a period of time. This is the most affordable type of loan if you can pay it back within this time frame. You do have to watch out for an early repayment fee attached with this type of borrowing. For example if you take a 0% deal for 6 months over a period of 18 months and then pay off the loan in 8 months you might have to pay a lump sum fee. Once you have found which finance option would be more suitable and have begun looking for your choice of model from the Audi used cars for sale, then you need to concentrate on remaining safe during the purchase. This particularly applies when buying a used car from a private dealer. You need to know where the seller lives and visit the car for a test drive at their home. If the seller wants to meet away from home then be wary, as this can be a sign of something amiss. They should be able to present you with all the paperwork associated with ownership of the car so that you are able to check for repairs and you should follow these up with the sources.
When you are looking for great car buys, don’t forget to research about police repossessed cars for sale. Majority of these cars have been seized or impounded from a police raid or drug bust operation.

These repossessed cars are very much ideal if you are on a tight budget. They normally cost less than their actual value. In fact, you can enjoy a total 90 percent off the original price. But then again, before you jump for joy and buy the first repossessed car you lay your eyes on, there are certain things that you need to know.

First of all, you have to make sure that the cars don’t have any problems in their engines or in any other car parts. Remember, even if they are very cheap, you don’t like to waste your money on something not worth it in the first place. It may be wise to bring an expert with you, like an auto mechanic, if you’re not really familiar on the components.

Moreover, it’s not only the motor that you need to check. Too many police really don’t have much time checking on the cars for sale. So make sure that you have also monitored underneath the carriage and the bumpers and hoods for any dents or rust.

Indeed, it pays to be very vigilant with your police repossessed cars for sale It’s not like you don’t trust them. It’s simply ensuring that you can get the most out of your investment, even if they are already used.

Thinking of selling your car? You have two options: you can either sell it through a dealer who will make the transaction on your behalf or sell it personally. If you have the time and know-how, it is definitely wiser to opt for the second option.

The Benefits of “Car for Sale by Owner” Strategy

Selling your car yourself has two very obvious benefits. First, you will be able to highlight the good features of your car to the prospective buyers. You can also answer all the prospective buyer’s questions more adequately and accurately than any dealer ever can. Nobody knows your car like you do.

Second, you will be able to save yourself an incredible amount of money that would have been your dealer’s commission. If, for example you sell a car for $15,000 through a dealer, the dealer will take at least three percent of the amount – that’s at least $450. There are even dealers whose commission rates go up to six percent. Instead of the dealer earning money from selling your car, why not take it for yourself? With a little extra effort and know-how, you can sell your car successfully on your own and pocket some extra money.

Some Tips Before Selling

Assess your car’s worth carefully before you determine its price. Take note of the mileage, external and internal damage, frequency of oil changes, and repair history.

Negotiating is the same as playing the game of poker; it is important that you do not show your emotions. The buyer can sense if you are desperate and may use it to try to buy your car for a very low price. Explain to the buyer how well you’ve taken care of your car, how good its condition still is, and how many years he or she can still use the car without problems. Be firm on your price, especially if you know that it is fair.
